For the Denman Xmas Fair, I am offering wall hangings. They include several techniques: foundation
piecing, appliquḗ and mola (reverse appliquḗ). They are hand embroidered then quilted by machine.

This map shows the location of the sunken wreck of Captain Robert M’Clure’s ship HMS Investigator.
M’Clure was searching for Franklin and was the first European to discover the Northwest Passage. HMS
Investigator was abandoned in the ice in Mercy Bay and M’Clure and his crew were rescued a couple of
years later. An inset depicts the goings-on around Polar Bear Cabin in the summer of 2005.

One February day at Cable Beach we saw all 3 species of Scoter in one binocular field.
This piece is slightly dish shaped.
